Busy days for the grandparents

Posted by Scott at 09:42 PM

Mom and dad have been here a week now. They've done many of the typical things they like to do. The folks have been to The Christmas Tree Shops, HomeGoods, AC Moore, the various farm stands, the Maine Coast, and some antique stores. Dad took Claire today to try out Kip's Ice Cream stand. It's a new place on Main Street in Nashua. I'm eager to visit it myself...

Tonight we had a baby sitter care for the kids and went to have dinner at the Grand Buffet. I hadn't been there in a while. It opened last fall. Unlike the Chicago chain with a similar name, it's predominantly Chinese with a few other things thrown in to be "inclusive". We had a nice time till someone from the other side of the restaurant shoved a load of cash into a jukebox behind us and had it play crud. Ugh! What awful music!

Today the support group watched the first half of Monty Python's "Life of Brian" on DVD during lunch. Believe it or not, I had never seen it before. Tomorrow is the last day of the quarter. It's always busy then, but we plan on seeing the second half of the movie tomorrow at lunch.

In closing, if you haven't already seen them, visit the pictures that Dad and I worked on this past Monday. It's an assortment of things over the past week or so and includes shots from our time together on Sunday at Ogunquit, Maine.
