Shteameh!

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning! It's still rainy up here as the remnants of hurricane Isaac are leaving New England. It was a bit hectic. I dropped Claire and Abby off at high school, Michael and Daniel off at middle school, and then joined Timothy and Michelle at 7:30 Mass. 8:56am

“Mary was like us in many ways: she, too, had to wrestle as she adjusted to a very new plan for her life. The difference: she took God at His word. She put all her faith and trust in Him, even though humanly she would not have understood how it would all work out. And she will pray for us, that we may grow in faith when we have to make major adjustments to our life's plans. Ask her for help!” — Sr. Anne Shields 9:04am

Laughing... "Who can argue with The Stache?" 9:14am

Took Michelle out for a quick lunch at Cafe on the Oval. We stopped by DFE on the way back for some hot coffees. It's kind of steamy and muggy out there. Even though the hurricane has pulled out, it's going to take a while before its humidity leaves with it. 12:52pm

Video: How 'Pro-Choice' are Democrats? I've said it before: if you want a President who is laissez-faire in matters of sex and absolutely nothing else, President Obama is your man. 12:54pm

Since there's been recent news of what the various code names are for the candidates, what would you want your Secret Service codename to be? Hmm… 12:59pm

I wrapped up work around 5:15pm. I got a lot done today. I went with Claire to Golds Gym for tonight's Step Circuit class. I dropped her off at home and went to RCIA at St. Patricks. Tonight was the first session for the new season. 8:33pm

Michelle and I were both pretty wiped out when I got back. We said prayers with the kids and sent them off to bed. Good night all! 9:00pm

“When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at the knees of Jesus and said,
‘Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man.’
Jesus said to Simon, ‘Do not be afraid;
from now on you will be catching men.’ ”
Luke 5
