Holiday Weekend

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning all! Like many sci-fi fans we're excited that tonight BBC will launch the new season of Doctor Who. 7:20am

Oh well. The YMCA wasn't having classes when I got there this morning. The front staff thought there should be a class, but somewhere things didn't get communicated. I also really didn't feel like using a cardio machine instead. I guess I'll try to get some exercise in the pool with the boys this afternoon. When I got home, I decided to reflash my Kindle again with a more up to date version of Android Jelly Bean via a port of CyanogenMod 10 for Kindle. Claire went with Michelle to get groceries. 10:27am

Michelle made an awesome lunch of cheeseburgers and hot dogs on the wood grill. Combined with leftover chili from last night it made for great chili burgers and chili dogs. Afterwards Michelle and I took the boys to the town pool. We're so glad that they're keeping it open longer this year. The water was a bit brisk, but at least the sun came out after we got in the pool. Lastly we stopped by DFE for some iced coffees on the way back. 2:25pm

Watch them sing on YouTubeDid some more tinkering with setting up the tablet. Funny, I still haven't been brave enough to do this with my phone. Perhaps because I'm okay with how HTC setup my phone. Started to watch "The Lorax" with the boys. 5:11pm

Paused the movie and took Michelle and the kids for a Chinese dinner at Golden Palace. 6:52pm

The Mission Impossible theme sung by goldfish in The Lorax. Awesome! :-) 7:26pm

Big news story from 1974: "average temperatures dropped faster than at any time over the last 1000 years!" Hmm. Sounds familiar. 8:14pm

“Jesus told his disciples this parable:
‘A man going on a journey
called in his servants and entrusted his possessions to them.
To one he gave five talents; to another, two; to a third, one —
to each according to his ability.’ ”
Matthew 25
