Short Updates

Good morning! Happy Gaudete Sunday! Do I have any pink, I mean "rose"? Wonder if our pastor will wear any... 6:10am

Back from Mass and breakfast. Besides being Gaudete Sunday, it's also the feast of St. Lucy. Later this morning Michelle and Timothy will be at CCD while (sadly) I'll be taking Michelle's sister back to the airport. But in twelve days our girls fly out to visit her. 9:16am

Playing with bpython. If you're looking to "kick the tires" in the Python language, it's a great way to learn it. (related link) I wonder if there's a Perl or Ruby equivalent? 9:42am

Took the family for dinner at LuYi House. Now putting on the second half of "Pete's Dragon" for the boys. The snow outside turned to rain so now it's just ugly outside. We're all wondering what the school situation will be tomorrow morning. Delay? Cancellation? 5:51pm

I live under a rock. I never realized the classical tenor Andrea Bocelli was blind. He's performing Christmas classics on our local PBS station at the moment. 7:17pm

Went to pick up Claire. Man! It is just yucky out! Yes, that's the most accurate adjective to describe it. Yucky... 8:03pm

Bookmarks I made today:

The Google Phone, Unlocked (Confirmed And More Details)
Comment: The article also says: "The phone is “really, really fast,” says someone who has seen one in action. It runs on a Snapdragon chip, has a super high-resolution OLED touchscreen, is thinner than the iPhone, has no keyboard, and two mics." Yay! Another of my SnapDragon chips!
Excerpt: Last night, we started seeing some Tweets from Google employees and others about a new Android-powered Google phone that was apparently handed out ...
