Pump You Up!

Gold's Gym - Today as I was down in Marlborough taking a fitness class at their local Gold's Gym, Michelle was taking a class at our new, local Gold's Gym in Milford for the very first time. In a way this was a bit of a milestone. I first got the call that Michelle had signed up while I was at the funeral hall for Grandpa's passing back in January. She was excited that there would finally be a recognized gym that didn't charge the exorbitant rates that Milford's Hampshire Hills would charge. [[Just dig around HH's website and see if you can find membership fees! Perhaps it's a "if you have to ask..." It's over $200/month for our family!]] When Michelle originally signed up for the local Golds, the opening was supposed to be just a few months away. I think that with the Milford flood situation and other complications, the big opening to the public got pushed out a few months. Michelle's biggest happiness factor: it took five minutes to get there. By comparison, her trips to the Merrimack YMCA where she instructs: 25-30 minutes.

Wednesday - Michelle and I went out for dinner tonight. We tried to go to J. Beaners, but their summer hours have them closing at 6pm. Instead we went with our typical fair, Black Forest Cafe. I brought back an unusual soda: Maple Cream Soda from NH's Squamscot Beverages. The girls did little to complain about our outing since they both had a great time having a sleepover the previous night with the Kucmas'. The twins were not at all happy when Michelle dropped the girls off. They screamed and cried the whole… drive… home. "Why can't we stay for a sleepover?! Then Claire and Abby can't stay!" etc. etc. Rarely had the drive from New Boston seemed so long to Michelle.

Vacation - It's one week until the girls fly to the midwest to visit family in Chicago and Michigan. The girls are getting excited! It's going to be weird without them for two weeks. Considering how the twins reacted when Michelle dropped the girls off for a sleepover, there's no way I'm bringing them with me when I take the girls to the airport. "I wanna fly the airplane! How come I can't fly too?!" I can hear it now...
