Over-Dawdled

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning! We all slept pretty sound after being out at the movies last night. I just booked Abby's spring trip to NYC with the high school band and chorus. Hope she has a good time. Timothy should be proud as today is the Memorial of Saints Timothy and Titus. 8:01am

I was so focused on new books for the twins that I lost track of time. Before I knew it, I was too late to head to the Merrimack Y for the Saturday Step class. So I went instead with Michelle and Claire to Golds for this morning's Ripped class. 11:07am

Took Michelle, Abby, and the boys for lunch at Cafe on the Oval. Swung over to Toadstool Books to get the boys some stories. Then ran a couple of errands before swinging by DFE for some hot drinks. Soon Claire has to head to work at Subway, home of the "no, we don't pull out a tape measure" foot long subs. 1:45pm

Dietrich Bonhoeffer “Being a Christian is less about cautiously avoiding sin than about courageously and actively doing God's will.” — Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Not to diminish the importance of avoiding sin, but also emphasizing what we do as we avoid it. 1:58pm

Bonhoeffer also said, “Cheap grace is the grace we bestow on ourselves. Cheap grace is the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church discipline, Communion without confession.... Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ, living and incarnate.” 1:58pm

I just love reading about all of the things folks are tinkering with using the Raspberry Pi. Having an extendable embedded Linux for $35-50 is opening up so many ideas. While I don't own one yet, it reminds me of some of the embedded Linux tinkering I was doing with the Chumby a few years ago. 3:12pm

Three words: Nano Copter Camera. (related link) Estimated price: $49 4:06pm

Dropped Abby off at a friends house to watch a movie. Michelle, the boys, and I are watching Dr. Who Turn Left. Yet more filler as we wait for the return of Season 7 on Easter Sunday. 6:47pm

“For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice
but rather of power and love and self-control.
So do not be ashamed of your testimony to our Lord,
nor of me, a prisoner for his sake;
but bear your share of hardship for the Gospel
with the strength that comes from God.”
2 Timothy 1
