Winter Break Day Two
Santorum and contraception: Media Buzz, buzz, buzz. Obama and infanticide...«crickets» «chirp» Doesn't fit the media template.
“Catholic women rally against HHS contraception mandate”. Yes, it isn't just “a bunch of men making decisions over ‘women's health’ ”. Personally I think it's all just a distraction to get us off the topic of how bad the economy has been. “Forget about the unemployment numbers, high gas prices, the explosion in Federal debt and spending, etc. Look! Eviiiil conservatives want to take away The Pill!” There's a world of difference between not subsidizing something and wanting to ban something.
Good morning! Claire and I just returned from the Step and Abs class at Golds Gym. I just learned that she and Timothy do not have piano lessons this week because of school vacation week. Daniel and Abby still have dance class.
Tim and I cleaned out the kids' bathroom sink drains. I really must remind the girls to keep their hair out of the sink. So, so gross! It was like a snake of dirt, grime, and long hair pulled from the drain.
Michelle and Daniel came back home, bringing me a fresh A&E coffee. I'm watching “The Way” with Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez.
Just finished watching “The Way”. Not action packed, but a good story. Kids will be bored by it, but touching for adults who've had enough years to have to carry some cross or another.
Picked up Abby from her friend in Merrimack. Getting there and back was sporting. There's a stretch of Thorton Ferry Road that I must really make a mental note to avoid in the future as its a dirt road. Thank goodness for Google Android Navigation because there's no direct way to go to Abby's friend's house. I saw a lot of roads I'd never seen before.
Abby and I stopped by Milano's on the way back to bring home dinner (pizza and gyros). Michelle just dropped off Claire for a closing shift at Subway. I'm updating Michelle's netbook and playing more with setting up newsbeuter on it.
Got the boys tucked in bed with their prayers. Michelle made me a nice hot tea to help me as I stayed awake waiting for ‘the call’. Went to pick up Claire from Subway. Reminded her not to dawdle in getting ready for bed as we're going to 7am Mass tomorrow. Good night all!
