Hither and Yon

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning! Claire and I just finished the Saturday morning Step and abs class at Golds Gym. 10:54am

Had a simple lunch of leftovers. At Timothy's insistence I installed the Awesome Window Manager on my ArchLinux VM. We wanted to see how little memory is used with just the OS, XWindows, and the Awesome window manager. Turns out: about a hundred megabytes. We are so spoiled these days with memory. That is considered lightweight by today's standards. Back when I was in the USAF, that was the total memory in a high end workstation. 12:16am

Michelle took Abby and Daniel for their dance classes. I'm about to take Timothy and Claire to their piano lessons. Glad both of us can drive. 12:16am

Relaxing a bit and re-watching the Christmas special of Doctor Who. Just felt like watching it again. Just Me 'n Michael. 12:42am

Picked up Claire and Timothy from their piano lesson. 1:42pm

Dropped Claire off at Subway and picked up Abby from dance class. 3:20pm

TiVo has released their mobile app for Android. From what I've tried, it works pretty well. 4:16pm

Ordered a few romance novels for Michelle. The Scottish Prisoner, Songs of Love and Death, and Portal to Loch Doon, the Kindle version. 4:34pm

Claire is working at Subway, but we're going to take the rest for dinner at Red Arrow Diner. 4:35pm

Timothy has been tinkering with it and has convinced me to try yet another distribution of Linux: Sabayon Linux. Downloading the ISO via Torrent. 7:16pm

I found Sabayon to be a bit bumpy. Tucked the boys in bed with their prayers. Went to pick up Claire from Subway. Going to put on a podcast and get some sleep. Good night all! 10:05pm

“ ‘Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?’
Jesus heard this and said to them,
‘Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do.
I did not come to call the righteous but sinners.’ ”
Mark 2
