Portacath Removed

Posted by Scott at 09:07 PM

Good morning and happy April Fools Day! It's 'snow' joke: my kids are off. The area schools have all called a snow day. I've already heard two snow plows go by. 6:28am

Your fun fact for the day: President Obama has launched more Tomahawk cruise missiles than all previous Nobel Peace Prize winners combined. (Yes, just a bit o' sarcasm there...) 6:30am

April Fools Part 1: Today Google announces GMail Motion (beta), utterly revolutionizing how we handle email. 6:33am

As Michelle makes breakfast, she's fighting so hard NOT to graze on the things she's making for others. Surgery in about five hours... 7:04am

April Fools Part 2: Taking a break from my usual work to attend my Qualcomm "Way of the Dragon" engineering training. 8:00am

At Southern New Hampshire Regional Medical Center. Michelle is checked in and preparing for her chemo portacath removal surgery. 11:02am

Michelle is about to be wheeled into surgery. 12:44am

Michelle's surgery just wrapped up. Just waiting for the surgeon consultation. 1:29pm

Back home with Michelle who's understandably a bit sleepy as the anesthesia wears off. Good bye portacath!! Hope it's never needed again! 3:35pm

Smirking at #CatholicRulesForTwitter so far. 4:38pm

Don't know why but got a laugh out of Bad Bromance, Lady Gaga's song done with a men's a capella ensemble. Michelle had a hard time believing it was just voices and no instruments. 5:04pm

Netflix linkAdding VeggieTales: 'Twas the Night Before Easter' for tonight's Netflix streaming queue with the kidlets. 5:25pm

Took the clan out for dinner at Milford House of Pizza. 1 cheese and 1 Greek pizza. 6:29pm

Looking at AudioGalaxy - Your music, your playlists... streamed everywhere. iOS + Android. 7:58pm

Also looking at mSpot which also upgraded to 5GB cloud storage for music in response to Amazon's Cloud Drive. 8:00pm

After dinner Abby and her friend played some Just Dance 2 on the Wii for an hour or so. Then the kids enjoyed Twas the Night Before Easter. I got the boys tucked in bed with their prayers and have been looking at Subsonic. So far it looks closest to what I've been looking for in streaming the home audio library elsewhere. 9:04pm
