Short Updates

Posted by Scott at 10:29 PM

Good morning! This has been a very busy week and so that "Thank God it's Friday" mantra seems all the more appropriate. My "Read It Later" list has been growing too long and I hope to have some time this weekend to catch up on it. 6:34am

Dropped Abby off at school. Michelle is off to drop the boys off and then teach her Hi-Lo aerobics class. I'm VPN'd into work until ~3:30pm today. Today's work includes a 3 hour block of conference calls. 8:17am

Lights Out: America’s Last Bulb Plant Closes. These are not the "green jobs" you're looking for. While Democrats crow over saving hundreds of auto jobs, they have been silent on sending hundreds of bulb industry jobs to China to make compact fluorescents. 1:59pm

If you read it closely enough, you'll see that Linus Torvalds, aka Mr. Linux, became a US citizen recently. 2:19pm

AMD offers dating tips for women. 2:40pm

My Honda CR-Z lust continues. It is the only hybrid to offer a six speed manual transmission! 2:54pm

The strong correlation between federal spending and the cost of college education. Yikes! Both have sky rocketed in lock step. 3:17pm

After work I took the family to the company outing at Kimball Farm in Westford, MA. We enjoyed the driving range, the mini golf, the jump castle, dinner and dessert, and the animal show. Daniel held a python, Claire pet a lynx, and all pet a chinchilla. 10:23pm

During the commute to and from Kimball's, we enjoyed Shrek 2. It had been so long since it came out, the boys thought it was a new movie. Good night all! 10:23pm
