Short Updates

Posted by Scott at 09:17 PM

Good morning! Michelle will be oncology for several hours today getting a Herceptin treatment. Claire & Abby will help keep an eye on the boys and I'll be working from home via VPN. 8:13am

Phew! The awesome program Swype was broken on my phone after the recent "FroYo" update. The makers of Swype are aware of this glitch but luckily the fix is as simple as uninstalling and reinstalling the program from scratch. 8:15am

Between 1882 & 1968, 3446 Blacks were lynched in the U.S. ~1,700 African-American children are killed each day by the act of abortion. 8:34am

After reading a bunch of midwest tweets, should I be happy that it's "only" ~85°F in the Souhegan Valley? 1:03pm

Since things moved pretty quickly for Michelle at oncology, we waited for her return and then went for a late lunch at Cafe on the Oval. Now Michelle is taking the kids swimming. On days like today, it's the best relief. I'm back to debuggin'... 2:27pm

Kudos to Nike. Sir Mix-a-lot must be proud. (related link) 2:47pm

Have I mentioned how Souhegan Valley lawns turn to desert wastelands in hot summers? Yeah, well we kinda take it for "Granite" 'round here. 3:33pm

My "other Bible" was released yesterday. (related link) (Hat Tip: @opengl) I miss seeing 1of the authors at my office regularly 2:59pm

Take this image (related link) Substitute brown for the green and the picture is up to date for August in New Hampshire. 3:41pm

I've had 3G/WiFi/GPS on all day while listening to streaming podcasts and still have ~60% battery. Anecdotal Android "FroYo" improvement. 4:27pm

Back from a good 30/30 class at Golds. Feelin' better now that I'm getting back into my regular workout routine. Also glad that it's very warm out because the A/C dries out the air in the fitness studio. It doesn't feel like you're working out in a steam room. 7:04pm

The kids are all excited because there's a groundhog in our yard. Luckily Jingle hasn't seen it. Not sure what his reaction would be. Groundhogs are bigger than the usual victims of his hunting expeditions. 7:22pm

Done with dinner and tucked the boys into bed with their prayers. I'm looking at a rendering test and wondering why it's wrong, but it'll have to wait until tomorrow. For now I just want to get in a little study & prayer and go to sleep. 8:02pm
