Short Updates

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning! Another brisk one at that: 36°F and sunny. I didn't sleep well last night -- had work issues running around my head. Alas, time to get the girls to school and head down to the office. 6:11am

Smooth, sunny commute down to the office, enjoying more of "Anna Karenina" along the way. 8:57am

Massive computer virus outbreak within Qualcomm today. Even more ironic: it's spread by our auto updates of McAfee anti-virus software. I'm unnetworked for now. 1:14pm

Nice drive back to NH. Sunny, ~70°F, 55MPG. Decided to drive through the apple orchards of Hollis on the way home. The trees are all in bloom. 7:05pm

Bookmarks I made today:

Opinion: Did WHO Knowingly Hype the Swine Flu?
Comment: And HIV. And SARS. And avian flu H5N1. It'll be hard to believe them when something serious really does come out.
Excerpt: Having spread H1N1 swine flu hysteria for nearly a year, the World Health Organization's "swine flu czar," Keiji Fukuda, last week finally "fessed up" to agency wrongdoing. But it's like listening to Enron admitting to a tabulation error.
