Short Updates

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Yawn! Good morning! Time to start another week of work and school. Monday mornings are always my busiest, so I'd better get movin'... 6:22am

Dropped the girls off at middle school and later the boys off at their elementary schools. Michelle is in Merrimack teaching her Step class. I'm VPN'd into work for the day. 9:06am

Nice late autumn day. 51°F and sunny. Took Michelle out for lunch at the Cafe on the Oval. Back to work... 12:42am

Back from a Step class at Golds. Michelle is at the hospital for a seminar. Time for some reheated dinner. 6:35pm

Watched "Eloise at the Plaza" with the kids. Seems a bit too early for a Christmas-y movie. Got the boys to bed. Michelle returned from her (related link) seminar. Our girls are checking out all the makeup Michelle brought home. Good night all! 8:31pm

Bookmarks I made today:

New Super Mario Bros. Wii review: impressive, and then some!
Comment: I did a 'tracking number' check and this should arrive today. The torturous thing is that Michelle is leaning towards holding it as a Christmas gift. Argh!
Excerpt: New Super Mario Bros. Wii feels like a return to form for Nintendo, and the game certainly plays it safe with familiar graphics and gameplay. Buried inside the game is a deep, rich experience in both single- and multiplayer, however, and the amount of things to see and do is disarmingly vast.

Bigelow Cinnamon Stick Tea
Comment: I discovered this yesterday at Donut Fresh Express. It's my current favorite morning drink: A large Bigelow Cinnamon Stick Tea with milk and sugar.
Excerpt: Warm, sweet, spicy cinnamon is a delightful component in many Bigelow® teas and herb teas.

Is Facebook Getting Uncool for 18-24s?
Comment: Or perhaps some 18-24 year olds are just running out of song lyrics to post as their status updates? ;-P [You know who you are!]
Excerpt: Others believe Facebook's cool factor among younger users is waning. "When you start getting friended by your grandmother, I think that's when it starts to lose its cool," said Huw Griffiths

HTC Leo benchmarked, leaves blisters
Comment: Gee, I wonder how those graphics benchmarks got so improved. *cough* *cough*
Excerpt: you're looking at least a 300 percent improvement over the Touch HD on every single 3D graphics benchmark with an astounding 1,822 percent improvement on one test, and raw CPU performance was nearly three times as fast.

Sarah Palin's "Going Rogue": Associated Press Exposed for Petty Anti-Palin Bias
Comment: Oh, I'm sure it's not bias. I'm sure that the AP assigned a bunch of journalists to "fact check" books like "The Audacity of Hope" and "Dreams from My Father". :-P
Excerpt: In a case of the most niggling media bias in journalism history, the AP assigned 11 reporters to pan excerpts of Sarah Palin's yet to be released book, Going Rogue
