Short Updates

Posted by Scott at 11:44 PM

Good morning world! It's a brisk 47°F outside this morning, but looks to be a gorgeous 70°F sunny day later. I'm working from home today. 5:31am

Michelle & Timothy took the cats to the vet. I'm about to take Michael, Daniel, and Abigail to school. Claire's already started. 8:15am

Overnight we finally made huge inroads on debugging a hardware issue that's been bugging us for a couple of weeks. I think we'll know today. 8:16am

Remembering how excited we were 7 yrs ago because my grandmother was coming to visit NH for the 1st time & celebrate her birthday w/us. 9:20am

I have a few close friends at work who've been working on this (related link) for a while now. Glad it's almost here. 9:47am

Thinking I should really create an "I gotta have more cowbell" ringtone. I should assign it for when my boss calls. B-) 9:55am

1st's in the past 24 hours: wore a jacket to RCIA. Today wearing a sweatshirt. Won't be long before I fire up the stoves. I'd guess a month? 10:15am

Just back from lunch with my wife at "Amigos" just off the Milford Oval. We went there after dropping off Mighty Timbo at kindergarten. 1:14pm

Just refreshing my memory on what this year's Social Security income max is. For FY2008 it's $102K. 1:21pm

Linux on the HP iPAQ PDAs?! Oh, I think I see a new geeky fascination... Open source goodness in the palm (pun intended) of my hand? 1:37pm

Screaming "Argh!" Corporate IT has a new policy that every shell (and spawned subshell) has it's PATH reset to default minimum. What!? 4:33pm

Went to gym. The studio ran out of Steps due to turnout. Came back home. I'm not a cardio machines guy anymore. Too monotonous. 5:45pm

Abby and the boys are pretending that they are re-enacting the Paper Mario game in the back yard. It's amusing to seem them try to imitate. 5:53pm

Discussing with Michelle whether my next "daily driver" should be a new MacBook (expected in October) or a lil' Linux netbook type machine. 6:17pm

Excited for my 17 weeks pregnant sister who thinks she may have felt her baby move. 6:56pm

I never realized The Old Farmer's almanac was published here in New Hampshire. 7:41pm

The Old Farmer's Almanac even has podcasts! (related link) Retro, yet bleeding edge! Go Figya! 8:11pm

Finding it ironic that TiVo's new YouTube feature is only available on hi-def TiVo's, considering the quality of the average YouTube video. 9:28pm

Good Night world! Tomorrow is another 0630 intn'l conf call. I'm hoping it's my last. We're getting very close to root cause of the glitch. 9:46pm
