Short Updates

I woke up this morning with my webhost very down. No mail, no web server, no ssh access. They're only reinforcing my thoughts about moving. 5:33am

Weather guy says we're going to be about 10 degrees below average all week with highs only around 60°F and scattered rain showers. 5:37am

Dropped Claire off at school. Returned home and took out the trash. VPN'ing into the office network and working from home today. 8:00am

Curious. The three DVDs that I logged as missing all suddenly arrived at Netflix today. I'm wondering what took them so long... 9:54am

Who-hoo! Netflix is shipping us National Treasure, Bella, and 27 Dresses. Should all be here tomorrow. Wish we had Bella tonight. 9:57am

Our site engineering linux farm is down for the next hour or so while data gets migrated to new network file servers. Ho-hum... 12:20am

Our office compute server farm is only now coming back online. Once again they underestimated downtime. Surprise! 2:23pm

Hmmm. Our state court has just ruled 17 yr olds can't vote in the NH primary if they turn 18 before the election. (related link) 2:42pm

My guests returned from Maine for one last night before they head south. We read with the boys and then got them down to bed. 7:40pm

Got mail from the government today confirming the deposit of my "stimulus" check. Married w/5 children... it's not an insignificant amount. 9:50pm

Got my check notice too- I'm sad- TJ no longer counts as a "qualifying child"- so yes, I'm married with 5 children, but only 4 counted.
