Short Updates

Posted by Scott at 11:44 PM

Happy St. Pat's (& Claire's half birthday!) It's very windy outside today. Boss is carpooling w/me. Hope my car doesn't blow off the road. 06:10am

Does anyone else hit C-a, C-c just before they press 'Update' as insurance in case Twitter "eats" their post? 06:17am

Enjoyed a classic beer joke sent by my dad and re-posted it at our website. (related link) 08:58am

Replaced the years old "About" page on our website to be a little more up to date. (related link) 01:40pm

Gotta love Nextel's slick marketing. $10/month "unlimited" data plan. (P.S. Date rate: ~3 kilobytes/second) 01:44pm

Took my last of the 30 Amoxicillin pills for killing Strep. It seemed I'd been taking them forever. Waking up, after lunch, before bed... 02:01pm

Local news about my co-worker. I visited him in the hospital last month. He is now back home and slowly adjusting. (related link) 02:41pm

Michelle is at the dentist office w/Claire. Claire has an adult tooth trying to poke thru in front of a "baby tooth" that hasn't come out. 02:59pm

Timothy's excited but doesn't know exactly why. "Papa got a package!". He doesn't know yet it's the Chumby's that have arrived. 04:01pm

Michelle's Chumby is configured for our wireless network. For now it's just doing weather, more to come later... (related link) 07:18pm

Configured the 2nd Chumby w/settings for sitting at my work-at-home desk. Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Google News, weather, email, etc. 09:27pm

Meanwhile Michelle watched the new season pilot of "Dancing with the Stars". Tonight the men compete, tomorrow night the women. 09:36pm

Just saw "Larry the Cable Guy" in a commercial promoting NutriSystem. I don't think he helps their marketing. 09:41pm

That's neat you got some chumby's. I've been curious about them, but didn't want to spend the money to check them out just yet. The next time we get together for dinner you'll have to show me how well they work.

I'm hoping someone writes an app which will mount to a shared drive of music files and play them, possibly using those songs for an alarm clock. The apps on the chumby site look like they do subsets of that functionality, but not everything I'd want.

Also, it's good to hear your strep throat is getting better. That's not any fun.

Hi Will,

More updates will be online with Wednesday's Short Updates. I did a lot of things on MIchelle's unit at her request.
