Suzy at her symposium

Click to see the full picture...(111KB)Suzy wrote me this evening and asked that I put this picture up of her at the research symposium. Click to see the full screen version. Looking sharp Suzy! You Student Psychology Association President, you!

BTW Suzy, I don't think there's an automatic way for you to upload pictures in Movable Type. I just manually uploaded it (and this thumbnail) to my .Mac account and pointed to it in this entry. The coding to point to it is a bit advanced though. If you ever have other pictures you want to share, just email them to me again. Moving on...

Even though it was overcast all day and finished with rain in the evening, today was a nice day. I took the middle three kids to the YMCA this morning while I went for a workout. When we got back it was so warm that the kids played out in the yard, especially on the swings. Because it was overcast, we were able to simply lay Timothy out on a blanket without worrying about the sun in his eyes. Later when the boys went down I also got to squeeze in a nap. (I'm sooo taking after my mom!) While I napped Michelle and Claire worked on the banner that will be used on Claire's First Communion next month. Later I took Claire to a neighbor friend's birthday party at a cool place in Amherst where there's all sort of gymnastic things for kids to play with. I got several nice pictures today, both of the kids in the yard and of Claire at the party. I look forward to munging those in the next few days. We also put up the coat racks by the hall to the garage. It figures that we would find these racks after the winter is over. In a few more months the kids won't even bother with jackets.

Tomorrow I lector at 8AM Mass. We also plan on having the Martinez family here for a visit. I'm sure I'll be shocked by how much bigger the Martinez's new baby is compared to ours, even though there's only a few months age difference. They just grow so fast that first half year!

I came up with some silly code last week that calculated that our house's average age is a little over 12 years 4 months. I'd like to figure out how to have that put as a running statistic on the right sidebar. I think it'd also be neat if it had an "xx days until yy's birthday" countdown. Silly, but geeky. If nothing else it would help me keep track of the birthdays. Between Alyssa's (soon to be) five kids and our five kids, my head hurts trying to remember them all.
