This is a Mercedes?!

I was driving home from work yesterday (my current commute home is 3 miles...) and saw a car I didn't recognize. At first I thought, it's probably a newly re-styled Ford Focus ZX2, a Dodge Stratus Coupe, or some Hundai or Kia.
Imagine my surprise when I saw that it was a Mercedes C230K Sports Coupe. I guess it's Mercedes trying to appeal to the richer Generation X'ers. It amazed me that Mercedes, who normally goes for such understated yet powerful styling would go for something that looks so cheap-econo-sport-Korean-import looking, especially from the rear view. Admittedly, it's just my opinion. The tech specs are reasonably impressive, but whoa! >$25k for a car that reminds me of a Hundai?! Yikes!
