Gina on her way home

Posted by Scott at 08:01 AM

Claire and I just dropped Aunt Gina off at the Manchester Airport. It was very sad, especially for Claire. We stopped at Quikava on the way back to get a KavaCoola for mom.

Last night I put up some more pictures from the time when Gina was here. There are some particularly funny pictures of Abby there. I also put up a Shutterfly album so that I could order some prints.

We've had some nice weather this week. Gina took Claire and Abigail to the park a few times. Claire liked using the swimming pool there. On the warmer days Michelle put up the kiddie pool in our yard so that they could all cool off.

Last week Claire and I finished reading Black Beauty. We've now started on The Swiss Family Robinson. Claire is having a hard time with all the hunting references in the story.

Michelle is a little sad that her statue of Mary fell yesterday and broke in two.

We got some prints back from DotPhoto. There was nothing wrong with the color or exposure. It's just the DotPhoto didn't give me a lot of control over cropping and zooming. It also didn't print titles on the back. The picture of the girls on their bikes came back and the top of Claire's head was chopped off! So last night with my Shutterfly order I sent them that picture and was able to control the cropping so that the trimming comes off the bottom.

Grampa Bob and Gramma Tootie will likely not come until mid-September. When they come they will likely stay for a few weeks. My grandma Krumwiede (mom's mom) said that she will likely visit in early September with her friend Ray. So far, though, it looks like August will be a quiet month. Stu, Ed, Suzanne??? Anyone up for a weekend visit?

Today we're going to go to the YMCA, as usual. Other than that, it should be a quiet weekend. It also looks like we'll be blessed with pleasant weather.
